Halifax Music Heritage Trail

I make no claim to be an expert on the history of who has played in the town or the venues that have come and gone. The trail just does what it can to help keep memories alive. The trail is dedicated to Trevor Simpson whose work & enthusiasm to keep Halifax’s music heritage alive was the inspiration. Trevor did countless walks with me & I never tired of hearing him tell the stories of past rock ‘n’ rollers.

18th  October 2PM
I’ll be leading a guided tour of the Halifax Music Heritage Trail which I founded around 12 years ago. The trail visits the sites of long gone venues (going inside a couple) where you will hear stories of the venue owners/promoters & some of the major stars that performed there. Expect stories about artists such as Joy Division, The Jacksons, John Grant, Dusty Springfield, Roxy Music and many more.

Meet at Grayston Unity. The annual guided tour is delivered by Michael.

The walk takes a good 2 hours. Pay on the day £7
